Secret Message of Futility

Logline:
A messenger outsmarts opposition and overcomes obstacles on a mission to deliver a fruitless top-secret message.

Paragraph:
This story is an eye pleasing, fast-paced comedy carrying the viewer through the task of a top-secret message delivery. The protagonist is a suave, tuxedo wearing spy on a mission to deliver a message to his superior. His attempt to complete his mission is impeded by a surly hit man. The tale is carried through the streets of New York as gunfire and narrow escapes lead the spy from his starting place of a city mailbox to the high rise tower where his boss awaits a message about a doctor appointment’s time changing.

  1. A suave young spy, in a rather flashy tuxedo must deliver a top-secret message to his boss before noon. Grabbing the note off of his table he carefully tucks it inside of his coat pocket, jumps into his sports car and peels out of his driveway. He is suddenly followed by a hit man who is determined to take him out. Their chase takes them through the streets of New York as gunfire and Inspector-Gadget like weapons keeps the hit man at bay. He finally makes it to his bosses high rise tower and whips out the note, only to reveal it’s a message about a doctor appointment’s change in time.

  2. I like the idea of this story being set in ancient Greece with the messenger running in sandals and a toga. The head honcho could be a big fat Greek official lazing about in a luxury palace with attendants feeding him grapes etc. The message could be asking him what color he preferred for his next toga...creme or off white. I think that the setting for this version could be much more fun and interesting than the city. The messenger would be crossing the dessert, battling hippos and climbing an unending number of stairs.

  3. Here is what Jeff wanted to post:

Sitting in a musty and run-down apartment, our Brioni-clad agentreceives a call on his cell phone. After a matter of seconds, thephone is hung up and the agent races to the complex lobby, grabbinghis gear (hanging by his front door) on the way. Entering his Ferrarithrough the driver-side window, the ignition is started and the agentpeels off down the narrow boulevard. Seconds later, another carscreeches out of the nearby alley and gives chase. Many gunshots andseveral 10 car pileups later, our agent manages to subdue his pursuitand pulls into a nearby valet parking garage; hands his keys to theapproaching employee. Ascending the elevator to the top floor, theagent run/walks down the hallway into a large office and haltsdirectly before a desk who’s occupant is sitting facing away. Thechair swivels around and the agent proceeds to explain to the newcharacter that his Yorkie, named “doodles” is ready to be picked upfrom the local dog groomer.
